Soft-boiled eggs and toast with Bovril with tea make me happy. Seeing my basil plant withering of late has made me less so. I've binned it - got tired of trying to send it good vibrations. It knew it was over a long time ago. It was just leading me on. Down with the basil plant. A friend of mine, not the botanist, put together a fancy contraption which I marvelled about and possibly envied. Some cool vacuum induced irrigation system that allowed him to fill some receptacle up to the top and have the water trickle into his steroid pumped basil plant on a "I'm thirsty" basis leaving him free to his other hobbies for weeks on end. Not that watering your basil plant ties you up too much... But handy. I'll try that next time. Or I'll buy the packaged stuff from Sainsbury's and end it there.

Enjoy cooking - not so much baking. The flour getting everywhere gets on my nerves and my sweet tooth is temperamental. I like the outdoors - could walk for hours but then not with too many uphills. There will be hell to pay...
I travel as much as I can because I feel that leaving a carbon footprint is important. I haven't been able to leave any other significant marks in the past years apart from mild emotional scars on people, so I find it's good to start somewhere.
