I write. I sing. I make jewelry. I've never been one for the nine-five. More than likely being naturally nocturnal has something to do with that. I'm not making a lot of money, but you're never too old to try for your dreams.
My personal belief system encompasses many things. I don't like labels, but most would call me Pagan as my beliefs tend toward the nature-based and sacred feminine. One might call me an Urban Primitive. My practices are solitary and I don't really ascribe to organized religion of any bent.
I am independent and value individuality to an extreme.
I enjoy the edge, the fringe. Counter-culture and sub-culture. I am into body modification, tattoos and body piercings.
Passion in everything! I see beyond society's self-imposed boundaries.
Buddha wrote: "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."
If you're afraid someone might think you weird or strange, you have to ask yourself why you care what they may think. I've spent too long pondering why my thoughts don't seem to synch up with "society's norm", I'm never going to be one of the sheep. I have no desire to be, ever!
"Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain."
I am a Role-player (RPer). It is my main creative outlet as a writer/collaborator. I prefer text-based to graphics in order to fully access my imagination/creativity.
I'm a huge movie and book buff. I'm a comic collector. Favorite genres are science fiction, fantasy, Urban Fantasy, horror, Noir, Post-apocalyptic. I love TV shows that make you think, stretch your imagination. I loathe reality TV!
