Quick-witted with a sense of the absurd, creative, bright, compassionate free-thinker... "country girl" who came home from the city... post-graduate degree... green-thinker and PBS-watcher ...

But wait, there's more...

I was born in the country, lived in the city -- returned to the country... but "country" isn't country anymore... the Jersey shore... Once spent 15 years in NH, where you come to love the color white -- at least from November through February!

I have a Masters Degree and continue reading and watching PBS. I am semi-retired, running a graphics design and copy-writing business in my home. I've been a science teacher, psychiatric social worker, public administrator, public relations specialist, graphic designer, marketing director, etc., etc... but I've had rather a few years to do all that. <grin> And just this past March I became a great-grandmother!

I lost the love of my life over twenty years ago and began missing him all over again since I stumbled over some old cassettes of our favorite songs. It was good. And dancing to those songs is now a favorite exercise.

I am "spiritual but not religious," as the popular phrasing would have it. Actually, I practice the Olde Religion of Celtic Britain. [Look it up.]

I am 5'8" and now weigh around 150 -- after a lifetime at 135. <sigh> My hair was 40-inches long for years and years, but one day I lopped it off.

My teen years found me collecting every issue of MAD magazine -- and emulating Mort Drucker and Kelly Freas by doing parodies of my friends' lives in caricature/cartoon format. <Wish I still had those early masterpieces.>

I enjoy painting, sketching, gardening. I have two tropical aquaria, several orchids, lots of other tropical plants --including night-blooming cactus; an herb garden, a studio with wall-to-wall bookcases overflowing with books and souvenirs. I have a young Maine Coon cat and a pair of upland bearded dragons -- and you can stop reading right now if that's too crazy for you. <grin> I am an award-winning author still trying to find time to write that second book.

I just wrote a C&W "truck drivin' song" that is a guaranteed CMA "Song of the Year" winner -- just as soon as I can find someone to write the score... My [LP, cassette and] CD collections include classical, R&B, oldies, jazz, C&W and world music. For example, I often put Marvin Gaye, Vince Gill and Peggy Lee CDs into the tray for a smorgasbord of tunes to accompany me while I write, sing along [and there are people who have offered to pay me NOT to...] or sketch. [Being a Gemini, I can easily multi-task.]

I love long walks on the beach, through the deep woods, and through the halls of museums. I revel in all triumphs of the human spirit -- and applaud aloud all alone in front of the TV during such news stories -- and ache when the role of anyone or anything is diminished in importance. We are all connected.
