Youniverse

I will be 57 years old in August, but friends say I look ten years younger. I am married now for 31 years and have two wonderful kids. Both are college graduates. My son is working on his masters and my daughter just got her bachelors.
They are the loves of my life. I have a cat Elliott. Featured in the picture.

I work for the County of Ventura in accounting. My true love is music. I sang with the Sweet Adelines and appeared on Good Morning America. I also sang with a rock band, The Brian Faith Band during my forties. Now when I get together with friends I sing karoake. If there is a song on my lips, I am happy. I also enjoy reading and spending time outdoors in the beautiful California sun. But I am careful not to get too much sun at my age. I also sell Avon and love fashion and beauty products. I love getting dressed up but also a great pair of jeans and a nice shirt is great. At home I love to stay in my comfy clothes and watch tv, especially shows like American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance and the travel and fashion channel. I do have one guilty pleasure I have been a big All My Children fan since the 1970 beginning show. I met Cameron Mathison once and got to kiss him on the cheek.

I lunch with a great group of women once a month. We all met at a happy hour where we danced together. Now a great weekend would be a movie such as Mama Mia and a night out dancing.

I spend most weekend with my husband and we do things together like go out to breakfast or lunch. Today we went to the beach for a picnic. We live in Ventura which is a beautiful beach city North of L.A. and South of Santa Barbara.

Once a month I volunteer to take care and hold babies at a church. I enjoy babies and hope to have grand kids one day.

Another interest is Astrology which I enjoy using to evaulate people but I do not live by it, It's a fun hobby. I believe in God first and am grateful to live in the USA.

We do enjoy traveling and taking cruises. This year we went to the Mexican Riviera including Acapulco, Puerta Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. We love Hawaii.

I hope to retire in about five years at age 62. I hope the economy allows that because it is very expensive here but very worth it. I am a California girl all the way.

I traveled across the country when I was a teenager, that was fun. Someday I like to go to Europe, especially England Ireland and Germany. I have Austrian/German heritage.

One day I like to own a dog again. I lost my wonderful friend Sticker when she was 16 years old and haven't been able to replace her yet. I have always loved dogs. They are precious and show uncondtional love.

So many things to write about but I can't end without saying I love the Beatles. I saw Paul McCartney a few years back and had very good seats thanks to my wonderful son.

Music is a wonderful part of my life and it you read this you might have seen my profile. I am a music maniac, but also a sophicate. I'm a lot of fun. Life is good.
